Eighteen St. Patrick youth attended Crosswoods Adventure Camp in Drummond, Wisconsin. This photo shows them getting ready to leave for their journey with a send-off blessing from Father Berns. Also shown in the photo are organizers Mary Finger and Christina Whitney and chaperones Connie Walhovd and Melinda Peterson. The group traveled by bus to the camp in Northern Wisconsin in July to join other children from the LaCrosse Diocese. The young people ranged from 12-18 years of age. The kids stayed in cabins and participated in a variety of outdoor adventures including mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing and a high ropes course. Surrounding the active adventures were many opportunities for prayer and reflection. The children, while surrounded by other Catholic youth, celebrate their faith through Christian rock song sessions, Prayer of the Hours, daily mass, and reconciliation. The week ended with a very powerful ceremony that includes Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Tracy Halfmanm is the new 1st grade teacher. Tracy moved to Mauston from Eden,
Wisconsin, where she grew up with one sister. She attended UW-LaCrosse and
graduated in 2009. Since then, Tracy has had a variety of experiences
working with children from PK-7th grade. She is excited to meet her
students, and to be a part of the St. Patrick's staff.
Daniel Casey caught two touchdown passes from Brett Lubinski and Justin Dolata converted a two-point conversion all in the first quarter. The conditions then made things difficult for both offenses as it rained the rest of the game. Mauston got on the board with a touchdown run and 2-point conversion. The Warriors held on to get their first win this season.
